Job Description:

The SystemC Modelling Architect position in Broadcom’s DCSG division is primarily responsible for developing functional and architectural models for our line of industry leading RAID and PCIe / CXL switch products. This will specifically involve working with a team of hardware and firmware architects and developers to ensure our modelling solutions meet our current and future needs.

Skills Preferred

• 12 years or more experience, with focus on Modelling for at least 5 years.
• Excellent programming skills in C, C++ and Python. Experience with SystemC preferred.
• Good fundamentals on PCI Express, CXL architecture, DMA, Interrupt processing, NVMe protocols will be an added advantage. 
• Proficiency in developing optimized code in both x86 and ARM64 compiler toolchains.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and debugging skills
• Hands-on experience of Linux Systems programming, Linux kernel is desired.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Ability to efficiently collaborate with multiple teams across geographically diverse areas.
• Bachelor’s in Electrical or Computer Science Engineering, Master’s preferred

Responsibilities

• Engineer would be responsible for developing functional and architectural models for PCIe/CXL Switch and RAID Controller products
• Perform technical investigations and/or debug within our current solutions in order to optimize model performance, evaluate future modelling enhancements.
• Present on Modelling Architecture related topics to executive management in a clear and concise manner
• Support FW and Test development organizations in order to aid in resolution of issues or optimization of code for performance or efficiency

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $111,000 - $185,000.

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
