We are looking for a Human Resources Outsourcing Director to help continue the growth of our practice while solving the complex human capital problems the North American middle market faces throughout the entire employee lifecycle. You will be responsible for providing oversight over our HR Managed Services, HR Managed Services + Payroll, or Managed Payroll client service offerings to ensure our HRO team provides prompt day-to-day HR transaction processing, employee facing support, workplace compliance guidance, and HR coaching and leading practices. You will play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives, managing client relationships, and ensuring operational excellence across all outsourcing functions. This role can be based in other cities in the US.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive, lead and participate in the development of proposals and business development activities
  • Assist in developing new market relevant tools, methodologies, products and deliverables for the rapidly changing human resources industry
  • Identify and implement Human Capital and HR Outsourcing strategies that support overall business objectives
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of HR outsourcing professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and support to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Oversee the implementation and execution of HR outsourcing projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budgetary constraints
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, fostering strong relationships and understanding their unique HR outsourcing requirements
  • Monitor federal, state and local compliance changes to provide effective and risk adverse HR outsourcing services
  • Identify market trends, industry insights, and client needs to enhance service offerings and maintain a competitive edge
  • Monitor service delivery metrics, analyze performance data, and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other RSM workstreams to deliver multi-workstream solutions for clients
  • Oversee a broad range of HR functions, including payroll administration, benefits management, compliance, employee relations, talent management, and HR technology
  • Facilitate user workshops to gather and document business needs, requirements, weaknesses, and challenges
  • Continuously learn to better understand RSM’s array of services, with the intent to enhance value to our clients
  • Effectively document and communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
  • Provide thought leadership through presentations or writing such as blogs or RSM content either individually or jointly with other RSM team members
  • Network internally and externally to develop sales opportunities
  • Manage multiple projects and project teams to deliver exceptional client experience

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development and Leadership, Management, or Finance from an accredited university
  • Professional certifications such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR are a plus
  • Proven experience in HR outsourcing, with 10+ years in a leadership role
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Proven track record in executive management, strategic consulting, and driving operational excellence within HR/Payroll operations
  • Previous human capital consulting experience from a professional services or CPA firm
  • Deep expertise and experience with the following HR functions:
  • Talent acquisition
  • Onboarding and offboarding
  • Benefits administration
  • Payroll processing and management
  • Performance management and compensation
  • HRIS (Human Resources Information System) Management and transactions
  • Employee relations
  • Employee training and development
  • HR compliance and risk management
  • Strong understanding of the HR function and capabilities including processes, technology, operating model design, strategic competencies, and policies in the US 
  • Ability to travel up to 50% throughout the US and Canada
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Visio

Compensation Range: $149,900 - $319,200
