The Opportunity

Insitro is seeking a Senior Director / VP of Product Management to lead a team of Product Managers that drive the development of our lab and data platforms which enable our drug discovery work at insitro. These platforms are used by our lab biologists, chemists, and therapeutic area leads to orchestrate lab work, visualize and QC data across a growing array of modalities (imaging, RNA sequencing, proteomics, chemistry, etc), ingest and analyze in vivo and clinical datasets (sequencing, MRI, Histopath) from patient cohorts, and ultimately deliver data packages from our screening campaigns to inform our targets and therapeutics.

  • Ability to be "bi-lingual" in both science and engineering concepts. Use that understanding to promote effective cross-functional collaborations.
  • Set an expectation for excellence and driving results.
  • You will foster a company-wide culture of analytical decision-making, ensuring all platforms, drug discovery pipelines, and cross-functional teams use metrics to track progress, make decisions, and drive company-level decisions and tradeoffs.

About you

  • 8-15 years of relevant experience, with >5 years in a management role, experience working cross functionally in the biotech field.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or life science related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Successful track record of setting product strategy and vision, exhibiting product sense, overseeing product development, aligning stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with modern software development practices and track record of collaborating with engineering leaders. Experience with project management tools.
  • Familiarity with relevant scientific advancements, such as cell engineering, microscopy, genomics, clinical data, or lab automation.
  • You consistently up-level company processes that meaningfully improve the company's overall execution.
