Research Technician I, Center for Genomic Medicine - (3282351)
GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
Dr. Armen Yerevanian is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic candidate to join our research group in the Center for Genomic Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. The Soukas laboratory studies the genetic underpinnings of aging and aging-related diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and cancer through analysis of vertebrate and invertebrate genetics, physiology, and metabolism. The research technician will be predominantly involved in helping to support and conduct critical lab experiments on the biology of aging, obesity, and diabetes.

Bachelor’s degree required.
EXPERIENCE:
New graduates with some lab experience (via course work, internships, etc.) or those without any prior research experience will be considered for the Research Technician I position outlined above.
Those with a minimum of 1 year of directly related work experience will be considered for a Research Technician II position.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY (if applicable):
A Research Technician II may serve as a team leader to lab assistants and Research Technician I’s.
