The Anti-Abuse Engineering team is responsible for building services and applications to provide safety, security and bring trust in all of the high throughput systems, and services of Grab and its partners.

It is responsible for combating sophisticated and intelligent fraud in real-time, the team is composed of highly motivated and skillful engineers who come together from different domains of technology.

We take pride in building distributed systems that have a real impact on the lives of millions of users in our endeavor to out-serve the underserved population. Terms such as Idempotency, CAP theorem, Distributed Consensus are not just theoretical terms for us but have a real bearing on the systems we build.

Get to know the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Mobile (iOS) to continue building products and services related to fraud, abuse and risk management for Grab and its partner’s mobile applications built on the Apple iOS platform . We believe a successful candidate has Deep, hands-on programming and technical design skills with demonstrated willingness and capability to learn new technologies quickly, also

• 5+ years of software development management experience, preferably in delivering B2C products/services/content.
• Demonstrated ability to design, build, and deliver complex, successful web services and/or customer experiences efficiently and with quality.
• Proven team leadership, interpersonal skills, and ability to get things done
• Ability to clearly communicate high-level strategy and technical details effectively across disciplines, locations, and organizations, including senior leadership.
• Strong bias for action; ability to juggle multiple priorities and build a sense of urgency in a dynamic environment.
• Burning desire to build magical experiences for our customers

The Day-to-Day Activities

• Identify gaps, product ideas in the fraud, abuse, and risk domain on the platform and mobile applications and translating them product solutions.
• Collaborate with the product, business, and program management team to be on top of your deliverables.
• Participate in technical and product review meetings.
• Timely delivery of high quality, maintainable, and operationally excellent code.
• Timely closure of all the assigned code review and design reviews.
• Closely work with the other co-workers, Backend, and SREs engineers to build/maintain product(s)/solutions/services while keeping track of impact and observability. 

Qualifications

The Must-Haves

• BS/MS in Computer Science or other related Degrees
• Significant experience as a successful software development leader in large scale, highly available Internet and mobile applications
• History of effectively working with and growing geo-distributed partner teams
• Experience developing high-volume internationalized web and app experiences
• Able to attract, develop, and keep high quality multi-disciplinary teams
• Proven ability to make smart features versus time-to-market trade-offs; experience using data and metrics to back up assertions of business value.
