Summary: As a Cashier, your primary responsibility will include operating a cash register to accurately ring up our customers' grocery orders. You will be responsible for tendering multiple forms of payment while ensuring our customers experience a friendly, efficient checkout process. You will interact with a high-volume of customers in a fast-paced environment ensuring that all of their grocery shopping needs were met. In our Front End Department, your potential to thrive is at your fingertips. As the face of the Company and whether ringing up orders, problem solving or bagging groceries you have an opportunity to interact and leave a positive lasting impression with our valued customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Cashier activities: 

  • Greet customers
  • Scan grocery order
  • Process coupons and collect payment 
  • Operate cash register and scanner

Other activities:

  • Assist with facing candy, magazines and non-food items
  • Maintaining area clean and tidy including conveyor belt
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge Requirements: A positive customer service attitude & pleasant personality, effective memory skills,

good hand eye coordination, dependability, ability to follow directions & a strong willingness to learn.
