Position Overview:

Siemens Software is looking for a seasoned software engineering leader to drive transformation in operational excellence across our enterprise software portfolio (Teamcenter, Capital, Polarion). Reporting to the Head of Business Operations, and with a global world-class organization at your disposal, you'll drive strategic initiatives, optimize processes, and foster innovation. Responsibilities include analyzing, optimizing, and transforming software engineering processes to enhance efficiency, innovation, and collaboration. Your ultimate goal, with full backing of and visibility to senior leadership, will be to continuously increase software engineering innovation throughput. Responsibilities:

  • Work across a global organization to drive software engineering operations excellence transformation, spearheading specific improvement initiatives and fostering strong collaboration
  • Facilitate integration of separate software engineering organizations, leveraging unique strengths of each to make the combined organization better
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing software engineering processes, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize software engineering processes, focusing on innovation, efficiency, and collaboration
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve software engineering tools and technologies resulting in streamlined processes and improved productivity; such as version control systems, automated testing frameworks, and continuous integration/delivery pipelines
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of optimized processes, regularly reviewing and analyzing metrics to identify areas for further improvement
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the software engineering organization, facilitating feedback loops, retrospectives, and process refinements to ensure ongoing optimization and adaptation to evolving needs

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Seasoned leader with extensive software engineering and cross-functional leadership experience
  • Track record of delivering commercially successful innovations
  • Proven ability to manage complex programs and influence execution of people in other organizations
  • Success in software engineering process optimization and improvement
  • Strategic thinker with an innovative, analytical problem-solving approach
  • Flexible team player with a positive attitude towards customer experience
  • Highly organized with strong follow-up discipline
  • Outstanding verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, and influencing skills
  • Effective communicator with executive management
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies
  • Deep knowledge of software engineering tools and technologies, both on-premises and Cloud/SaaS
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or relevant discipline

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Experience leading or managing the integration of two large organizations
  • Experience as a full-stack Cloud software developer, product owner, or development manager
  • Experience implementing SAFe and Scrum
  • Experience implementing or optimizing software engineering automation tools
  • Experience applying AI to software engineering
  • Experience with product lifecycle management and/or electrical software products

Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements:

  • Office, remote or hybrid
  • 10-15% of time required to travel

Siemens Software. Transform the Everyday

The salary range for this position is $145,700 to $262,300 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
