Workplace Manager

Our Workplace Management team runs the entire workplace experience for our sites around the world - they are the authorities on everything from health and safety and building systems to social programming, catering, vendor management, service offerings, renovation projects and providing the most incredible first impression for everyone who walks through our front door.

You will be an eager self-starter experienced in facilities management and someone who is a catalyst in making King an amazing place to work physically and culturally. You will lead the traditional aspects of facilities management and operations as well as the events and programs that drive our great culture and continue making King a great place to work. This will involve you leading and managing a team of in-house employees and outsourced service providers.

Your Role Within our Kingdom

  • Deliver first class customer service to all our customers, the employees and contractors of King
  • Develop and implement a facility management program including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements
  • Manage and supervise building maintenance in line with Health & Safety compliance and manage facilities projects and initiatives, nurturing the company and team-wide standards and processes
  • Working with our business partners to develop and deliver facilities procurement processes including negotiate contracts to drive service and quality improvements
  • Lead, coach and support the Workplace team in London to deliver first class service to all our customers, the employees and contractors of King.
  • Take responsibility for the development of the team
  • Implementation of environmental, health and safety and emergency/disaster planning policies and procedures
  • Ensure that the offices you run are statutory compliant at all times
  • Monitor third party contracts to ensure the correct standard of service is provided in accordance with the agreed contract
  • Liaise with landlord regularly
  • Plan and manage facility central services such as reception, security, cleaning, catering, waste disposal etc
  • Working with our business partners to develop and deliver facilities procurement processes including negotiate contracts to drive service and quality improvements
  • Liaise with Landlord
  • Setting and managing budgets and forecast overviews
  • Strategic planning for a smart office usage and set up
  • Develop and maintain a customer relationship plan to stay up to date with your customer requirements and business objectives.

Skills To Create Thrills

  • Previous experience in similar role
  • A professional, extremely well organised and a creative problem solver, and cool under pressure; a strong collaborator and leader
  • Experience of Facilities management
  • Ability to lead meetings and presentations, and ability to interface with all levels of staff with tact and diplomacy
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge in principles and practices of project management
  • Experience with setting and managing budgets and fore casts
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Experience in managing & leading a team to extended heights
  • Experience with tender process of contractors and services
  • Management of both hard and soft service both in house and outsourced service solutions
  • Highly proactive style of work, with a demonstrated track record of developing innovative approaches
  • Solid computer and systems knowledge.
