Freddie Mac’s Investments & Capital Markets (I&CM) Business Technology Office is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer who enjoys data and building data platforms from ground up using microservices architecture. Our ideal candidate is passionate about microservice architecture, data management in the cloud and helping people use the technology to transform their business processes and analytics.

You will be part of a group that supports a variety of internal customers. You will analyze, design, and develop data storage and data analytic solutions using data lake patterns, that help our customers run more effective operations and make better business decisions.

Your Impact:

• Support an internal customers and draw on all the skills in your toolkit to analyze, design, and develop microservices based apps focusing cloud data storage and analytic solutions that use data lake patterns.
• Understand User Stories, participate in Analysis, design applications based on System User Stories and Architecture, prototype, if vital, develop, unit test and deploy the application.
• Build purpose built services based solutions using Java/SpringBoot frameworks, Docker and AWS managed Kubernetes.
• Support what you build, which includes providing fixes to production defects. Quickly evaluate defects, investigate cause and come up with solutions to remediate.
• Support building Services practice within the team.
• Build UIs using Angular, CSS/SCSS and HTML

Qualifications:

• Master/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired
• 5 - 7 + years of relevant full stack professional experience
• 5-7 years of experience in Design and Development of Applications and Web Services using Java and Spring Boot.
• 3-5 years of experience in UI Angular development
• 3-5 years of AWS experience for various services including S3, EMR, Lambda
• 3-5 or more years of experience working in Agile, Lean/Kanban, or Scrum
• based Agile organization. Proven track record using Lean/Agile delivery practices to improve teams, quality, and reliability.
• Experience applying TDD, BDD, and Static Code analysis to improve quality and reliability of delivery.
• Java presentation frameworks experience – Angular or similar frameworks
• Integration experience using Web Services /REST
• Experience in code delivery pipelines and experience with Gradle, Jenkins, Spinnaker
• Preferred experience – PostgreSQL, are a plus.
• Good understanding of the current trends in Data Engineering domain
• Proven understanding of software design principles

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $122,000 - $182,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
