Gigamon is searching for technical training professional who can demonstrate an ability to think outside of the box whilst working to create essential training course and curriculums. Daily you will be working with Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Support, and Services teams to develop content that addresses how our products work, where best to use them, and how to configure them properly problems encountered in the field and by customers.

What You Will Accomplish While at Gigamon: 

  • Gigamon is looking for an outstanding Instructional Designer/eLearning Developer, to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, helping network security staff, IT organizations and system administrators secure their cloud and data center computing environments. 
  • You will use your instructional design and computer-based training expertise, along with your technical experience in networking, security and/or system administration in the data center and cloud environments, to design, develop, test and deliver self-paced courseware for technical users, external customers, and Gigamon employees. 
  • You will work with subject matter experts in our Training, Support, Systems Engineering, and Engineering teams to deliver outstanding training for beginning and advanced users of our products. 
  • You will design and develop entry-level and advanced level courseware and instructional material for on-demand training. 
  • You will provide instructional design consultation, technology application consultation, and instructional asset development for online and blended learning experiences. 
  • You will develop new online courses and technical certification exams with minimal technical supervision using writing, graphic design, branding, image editing, document formatting, animation, video, audio, e-learning authoring, web, and portal skills and tools. 
  • You will participate in the needs assessment, design, and development of product and role-specific curriculum roadmaps. 
  • You will interact with subject matter experts in planning and scoping requirements for curriculum. 
  • You will review and test new and revised curriculum offerings from other team members, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement; contributes to new curriculum or program ideas. 
  • Minimal travel required. 

What You Will Bring:  

The ability to independently transform raw content and existing training from subject matter experts into interactive e-learning content with full narrative and illustrations. 

  • The expertise with best practices for teaching technologies including presentation technologies and web-based learning and training. 
  • The experience in developing and redesigning face-to-face, fully online, and hybrid/blended courses using sound principles of instructional design and project management. 
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to convert technical or complex information and concepts into easily used and understandable text and illustrations. 
  • Proficiency with multimedia authoring tools such as TechSmith Camtasia, Adobe Presenter, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Video Creator, Articulate Storyline or others. 
  • Proven experience with instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles. 
  • Must possess a well-developed design aesthetic and project management experience. 

Bonus Experience:  

Experience developing training for networking, security or system administration technologies in Windows or Linux environments. 

  • A demonstrated proficiency and experience in industry standard learning technologies and tools, such as Learning Management System (LMS) and Content Management System (CMS) platforms, project management tools, e-learning authoring tools, digital graphics media, audio, and video production tools. 
  • 3-8 years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing interactive e-learning programs/courseware, performance measurement in a corporate setting. 
  • Experience managing complex e-learning projects. 
  • Experience using SCORM compliant software packages across different LMS platforms. 
  • A recognized e-learning developer qualification or a degree in Education, Instructional Design or a related subject is highly desirable.
