The Opportunity: 

The Global Marketing team sets the global brand strategy, developing marketing plans for regional and local teams to execute in market. We are currently seeking an Associate Marketing Manager reporting to a Manager to support the Thomas & Friends brand. This person will be a pivotal member who will provide executional support and drive key marketing activations across a variety of platforms and initiatives.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • Translate consumer and business insights into strategic, clear marketing briefs while also synthesizing inputs from key cross-functional stakeholders and driving alignment at all levels.
  • In partnership with Manager, drive the development of robust, globally relevant brand building plans with clear objectives, strategies, and tactics while being nimble and flexible to track changes and pivots in real-time.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners (brand creative, digital, PR, product marketing) throughout the global marketing plan development and launch process with an eye toward fulfilling global requirements and nuanced needs.
  • Serve as key liaison between the local markets and the Global Brand Team, driving strategy and execution locally, while also translating and synthesizing needs
  • Partner with key cross-functional teams, particularly our Digital Engagement Group (YouTube, Influencers, Social Media) and Franchise Management (Content Development & Distribution, Mobile Gaming, Live Events, Licensed Consumer Products) to understand nuanced objectives of respective businesses while also ensuring that the global brand strategy set forth by the Global Brand Marketing team is maintained at all consumer touchpoints.
  • Serve as brand representative to ensure appropriate tone / voice is maintained, and executions across consumer touchpoints is on brand
  • In partnership with Manager, manage the overarching marketing calendar to drive alignment across global markets as well as franchise lines of business
  • Manage the creation and execution of presentation decks in conjunction with internal teams, and present campaigns, strategies and/or research findings multiple times per year to executive audiences.
  • Review marketing and content assets and provide clear and informed feedback, based on a deep understanding of the marketing brief, objectives and strategies for a given campaign
  • Provide administrative support to the Global Brand Marketing team in the form of accounting and budget tracking, asset tracking, and internal show coordination and prep

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Driven, focused and a “self-starter” who can operate and succeed with high levels of autonomy
  • Excellent communication skills (including written communication and oral presentations to small and large audiences).
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, a can-do attitude, a passion for variety, comfort with ambiguity, and adept at juggling multiple programs at once.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams by providing a compelling, concise vision and strategy, while also being a strong executer with acute attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Excellent written/verbal, time management and quantitative/analytical skills required.
  • Ability to analyze and draw conclusions from data, communicate, and present actionable insights to leadership.

Experience, Education & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Business or related (or equivalent); MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in brand marketing (on brand or agency side) or 2 years experience with an MBA.

The annual base salary range for this position is between $110,000 and $125,000.

  • This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
