What you'll do

You will play a key role in supporting the Investor Relations function and investor communication strategy including investor presentations and quarterly earnings. You will be responsible for helping to generate key data, benchmarking and other deliverables to keep investors up-to-date on DocuSign’s performance and industry trends. In addition, you will participate in analytical work such as financial, data and peer analysis as well as analyzing financial statements and researching company specific and industry-wide trends across the sector. This role also plays a key support role in our investor relations strategy by fostering strong relationships with the investment community. The team is dedicated to increasing shareholder value through the transparent and clear communication of the company’s mission, vision and values to external markets, analysts, and to current and new shareholders.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Head of Investor Relations.

Responsibility

  • Drive the annual strategy for the company IR calendar as it relates to quarterly earnings cycle, analyst coverage, investor conferences, non-deal roadshows, and investor outreach 
  • Analyze and maintain all sell-side analysts’ coverage including estimates, ratings, reports, consensus, and other relevant data
  • Collaborate with FP&A, Accounting, Legal, Comms, and Product to gather information related to quarterly financial performance and ensure accuracy of figures to craft the external narrative
  • Craft key management talking points for investor engagements including conference presentations, Investor Days, bus tours, and one-on-one meetings
  • Assist in the quarterly earnings process by preparing earnings conference call scripts, press releases, investor presentation, Q&A documents, and other prep materials for sell-side and buy-side post-earnings calls
  • Partner with external IR consultants and vendors to drive meaningful benchmarking reports and analysis. Confidently give feedback so deliverables are tailored to DocuSign needs
  • Identify investor targets globally that align with DocuSign long-term strategy
  • Own the DocuSign’s IR website, ensures up-to-date and accurate information
  • Monitor and summarize industry trends and peers’ commentary and financial results by continuously tracking sell-side research, financial news, and transcripts
  • Produce reports and presentations on DocuSign shareholder feedback and activity for senior leadership and the Board of Directors
  • Collaborate with Legal and Comms teams around ESG initiatives and messaging 
  • Manage and track the vendor budget for the investor relations functions

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

DocuSign reserves the right to change a position's job designation depending on business needs and as permitted by local law.

What you bring

Basic 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Finance, Accounting, Communications, Economics or similar)
  • 5+ years of experience, including supporting investor relations at publicly traded companies
  • Financial background in equity research, buyside, corporate finance/investment banking
  • Experience with financial statements, valuation methods and capital markets
  • Experince working with a publicly-traded company operating under the Reg FD and SEC regulatory framework
  • Experience with IR databases (Thomson, Ipreo) and similar platforms

Preferred 

  • SaaS public company experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to convey key insights in a comprehensive manner to investors/analysts/senior management
  • Experience with Google Suite: sheets, slides, docs
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills to ensure investor communications are handled efficiently and in keeping with applicable regulations
  • Analytical skills required to create financial models and evaluate sell-side models
  • A positive presence and ability to work with highly collaborative , cross-functional teams and in a multifaceted environment
  • Experiience with buy-side/sell-side communication
  • Ability to travel up to 20%, as needed

Wage Transparency

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $118,300 - $182,775 base salary

Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $111,600 - $162,625 base salary

This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
