We have an exciting new role at NSF for an Inside Sales Executive (Seafood), to join our team. You will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. You will make dozens of calls per day, working with sales colleagues and business unit partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects, assisting with bids and RFP’s, delivering presentations, and closing some of your own sales.

Including, but not limited to:

  • Managing existing and sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Routing marketing qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
  • Understanding customer needs and requirements, leading ‘needs based’ conversations with clients and prospects 
  • Close your own sales and achieve quarterly quotas
  • Research accounts and prospects, identify key decision makers and generate interest
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned channels 
  • Work with channel partners and sales leaders to build pipeline and close deals
  • Perform effective online presentations and to prospects
  • Explore opportunities to upsell and cross-sell between business units and service lines 
  • Support the Territory Executives & Sales Director with bids, tenders and RFP’s 
  • Proven background in sales, customer service or marketing is essential 
  • Bachelor’s degree, or intermediate/advanced apprenticeship in sales and telesales
  • Proven success with inside sales experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment 
  • Track record of meeting and beating quotas and targets
  • Demonstrable achievements in working database prospects and converting to sales 
  • Experience interacting with customers through written and verbal communication, with a strong phone presence and experience in targeted outreach campaigns and calls
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation & communication tools
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Keen eye for detail and problem solving/analysis when needed
  • Knowledge of sales techniques and best practices
  • Sales intelligence software like LinkedIn Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo
  • Working knowledge and experience in seafood operations and third-party audit programs (MSC/ASC/Marin Trust/Global GAP/RFS (preferred but not essential)
  • Good understanding of ESG challenges and frameworks relating to the seafood sector (preferred but not essential)
  • Any language qualifications and ability would be highly desirable (Spanish, Italian, French, German, Flemish etc.) (preferred but not essential)
  • This is hybrid role with access to our Oxfordshire Head Office, and UK satellite offices
