Job Description:

The Boyd Group is seeking a results-oriented IT Project Manager to lead and deliver strategic IT projects in Elmhurst, IL. As an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to drive successful project outcomes and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Execute project plans, ensuring milestones are achieved on schedule and within scope.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with project stakeholders, including team members, sponsors, and external vendors.
  • Provide regular project status updates, risk assessments, and issue resolution plans.

Resource Management:

  • Coordinate and allocate resources efficiently to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify and secure necessary resources.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
  • Proactively address issues and obstacles that may impact project success.

Quality Assurance:

  • Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure deliverables meet or exceed established

standards.

  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of project outcomes.

Budget Oversight:

  • Manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial reports to stakeholders.

Change Management:

  • Lead change management processes, ensuring the organization is prepared for and adopts changes

resulting from project implementations.

  • Foster a culture of adaptability and continuous improvement.

Documentation:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, requirements, and

documentation of key decisions.

Tools Requirements:

  • Proficient in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with collaboration and communication tools such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, or others.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools for financial tracking and reporting.
  • Competency in productivity tools like Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, managing projects from initiation to closure.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
