Currently we are looking for a Algorithm Engineer 2

The Algorithm Engineer is responsible for the design evaluation and implementation of complex algorithms for product development.

What you will be doing

• Developing software using machine learning models for generative AI.
• Implementing AI Platform, using algorithms and hosting models.
• Optimizing AI performance.
• Work with product management program management and/or application engineering to understand product requirement
• Develop and document more routine algorithm ideas
• Design implement and evaluate routine algorithms for product development
• Assist with creating cost effective scalable systems and develop innovative algorithm solutions
• Research algorithm improvements for speed and/or accuracy and implement into product design
• Test and assists in the verification and validation process
• Work with development teams to integrate algorithms into final release of software

What will make you successful

• Graduate degrees in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or Physics
• 3 or more years of experience in developing analysis algorithms, demonstrating creativity and ability to translate algorithm ideas into production quality code
• Experience with full software test and release process, including some issue tracking system and some source control system
• Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
• Good collaboration skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areas
• Driven to learn and stay current professionally
• Specialization desired in one or more of segmentation, machine learning, mesh algorithms, GPGPU
• Experience with code optimization and impact of algorithm variation on performance
• Good communication skills, can explain algorithms well
• Good working knowledge of multiple coding languages
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms and design patterns
• Highly organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects to completion with minimal oversight
• Up to 5% travel time required
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job

Must have:

• Proficiency in Python
• Experience using AWS
• Experience with generative AI and open-source models.
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, embeddings, LLMs
• Continuous Learning: Staying updated with the latest AI trends, advancements, techniques,

and best practices

• Expected Skill Level: at least 2 years relevant experience.

Should have:

• Experience with Mlflow, Metaflow
• Experience with Terraform

Nice to have:

• Experience with Prompt-Engineering
• Snowflake / Vector Databases

Soft skills Analytics:

• Developing machine learning models and algorithms, analyzing data patterns, and ensuring

model accuracy

• Preprocessing and analyzing data for training models.
• Building data pipelines.
• Ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Benchmarking AI models and platform functionalities.

Dev/ML-OPS

• Setting up and maintaining the infrastructure for AI/ML workflow and model deployment.
• Automating deployment processes.
• Implement load balancing/caching mechanisms.
• Monitoring system performance and ensuring reliability.

Integration & Security

• Data Management & automation: Handling, storing, cleaning, preprocessing, and

augmenting data for AI

• Documenting AI models comprehensively for compliance with industry standards and

regulations.

• Integrating AI systems with existing software and hardware infrastructure securely.
• Managing security for AI solutions, especially access control to training data using services

like AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM)
