The Opportunity: The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software solutions. This position will lead the development of complex systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of functionality, performance, and reliability.
Essential Job Functions:
- Lead the design and architecture of software systems, ensuring scalability, robustness, and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using programming languages such as Javascript, HTML, CSS, Java, or similar.
- Contribute to the development of complex features and functionalities, ensuring code quality and compliance with coding standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative development environment.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, influencing the adoption of best practices within the team.
- Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the reliability and performance of software applications.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and participate in debugging activities to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Participate in project planning and provide accurate estimates for development tasks.
- Propose and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the software development lifecycle.
- Actively contribute to the evolution of coding standards, development methodologies, and tools.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for code, system architecture, and technical processes.
- Ensure that documentation is thorough, accessible, and understandable for team members and stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve complex technical issues promptly, collaborating with the support and operations teams as needed.
- Provide technical support and guidance to resolve production incidents.
- Ensure that software development adheres to security standards and compliance requirements.
- Implement security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Foster open communication within the team and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a Senior Software Engineer or similar role, demonstrating a track record of successfully delivering complex software projects.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Javascript, HTML, CSS, Java, or similar. In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, design patterns, and database systems.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team of developers, providing mentorship and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to navigate and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling seamless collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
Salary Range is $135-175K
