Job Overview

The EMEA MPS Planning Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for establishing/maintaining a standardized EMEA MPS process in our manufacturing plants across the different technologies to ensure satisfying customer demand with minimum cost of inventory through optimal resource planning. Aligning with the factories the available capacity and resolve constraints timely. The individual will also support on specific transformation projects to ensure performance targets on inventory & service are met and builds a strong relationship between S&OP, MPS and S&OE.

What your background should look like:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in supply chain planning and optimization the automotive sector
  • Clear understanding of the complete supply chain and experience with complex supply chain structures
  • Experience in cross-functional coordination and remote project management 
  • Solid knowledge of operations & production processes and related production environment
  • Extended knowledge of planning processes (capacity planning, supply planning, fine scheduling) and related planning systems
  • Extensive supply chain knowledge, also manufacturing background.
  • Lean culture mindset
  • Strong leadership and people development skills, able to give direction in cross-functional environment.
  • Culturally sensitive in operational working environment.
  • Skilled in developing and implementing standardized processes
  • Capable to drive and sustain performance improvements
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, pragmatic approach, decision making 
  • Knowledge in supply chain / master planning and ERP systems
  • Certification in production and inventory management (e.g., APICS CPIM)

  • Solid in English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a weekly standardized MPS process across all plants and ensure adherence in each team
  • Weekly monitoring load vs capacity for the AUT EMEA plants across the different manufacturing technologies
  • Analyze production constraints, such as machine capacity, labor availability, and material availability, to optimize scheduling decisions.
  • Communicate production schedules to manufacturing teams and monitor progress to ensure adherence to timelines and production goals.
  • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts or bottlenecks that may impact production efficiency or customer delivery commitments.
  • Lead weekly EMEA MPS meeting with the plants.
  • Participate in review meetings with Planning and Operations management.
  • KPI review (Lates, STR, inventory) and respective improvement activities
  • Responsible to develop and implement IBP Response & Supply in close alignment with other AUT EMEA stakeholders and alignment with the global roadmap.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the S&OP, S&OE and Product Line/Allocation team.
  • Support Transfer Management and plants to ensure smooth transfers.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and drive improvement projects.
  • Focus on people development and training.
