Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Sales Support Specialist to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will work closely with the Business Development Manager and the Sales Team to support their sales activities including proposal and marketing material generation along with trade show and sales conference activities. You will also assist the sales team with the management of sales opportunities utilizing the Scorecard and Salesforce systems. As a Sales Support Specialist, you are a part of a dynamic team that allows you to grow as Convergint grows.

What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”

  • Manage on a weekly basis the accuracy of the sales forecasting.
  • Ensure through one-on-one discussion with each sales colleague that the data is up to date and the closing probability is accurate.
  • Provide monthly total sales forecasting based on the above data.
  • Provide assistance to the sales team for the development of proposals.
  • Write, edit, proof, and format proposal content and proposal material in conjunction with the Business Development Team members in response to RFP/RFQ/RFI.
  • Maintain a proposal database and add new proposal content where needed and appropriate, maintaining existing content, and deleting outdated or non-applicable content.
  • Align and assure compliance of proposal document layout and design with RFP requirements.
  • Work closely with the Business Development Team to develop a clear understanding of client needs and expectations and effectively transfer that knowledge to the proposal process and development.
  • Ensure proposals are satisfactorily and consistently prepared, produced to the highest quality standards, and delivered within the RFP defined deadlines.
  • Set and manage assigned proposal workflow by establishing deadlines, monitoring progress, communicating assigned proposal status and expectations to other team members, and advising appropriate Business Development Team members regarding the need for assigned proposal input.
  • Prepare proposal packaging for submission and delivery within deadlines.
  • Develop, standardize and maintain proposal and RFI response templates adhering to corporate standards.
  • Assist with migrating all proposal generation to the sales colleagues by ensuring the required tools are in place.
  • Provide on-going quality control of all proposals being submitted.
  • Preserve the confidentiality of highly sensitive financial and competitive information that is provided for proposal development.
  • Develop and maintain a standardized electronic and hard copy storage retrieval structure for all marketing and sales materials.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating trade shows including preparing marketing material, displays, giveaways, and schedules.
  • Assist in the coordination and planning of national sales meetings including presentation and materials development.
  • Provide administrative support for large account management processes.
  • Presents a professional image of Convergint Technologies at all times in appearance and behavior and seeks opportunities to promote the services offered by the company.
  • Acts as “our customer’s best service provider” at all times thereby ensuring Convergint Technologies is the customer’s first choice for service.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Requirements:

Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related experience preferred.

Minimum Experience:

  • 3+ years of direct sales support administration experience including proposal generation.
  • 3+ years of marketing experience as asset.
  • Familiar with all aspects of contract management.
  • Experience working in a multi-discipline project team and a broad cross-section of Project Management Systems.
