Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Administrative Manager - Pulmonary Division **Manhattan**.

In this role, the successful candidate will report to the Division Administrator and will assist with the administration and management of all aspects of the division in accordance with departmental and institutional objectives. In partnership with the divisional leadership team, the candidates primary responsibility will be to improve and ensure divisional effectiveness by providing analytical and operational support for the divisions administrative functions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • CLINICAL AFFAIRS MANAGEMENT The candidate will work directly with the Division Administrator in the
  • administrative oversight of daily practice operations and assist with the coordination of service operations of
  • faculty group practice and clinical operations. The candidate will review key performance indicators, current
  • workflows, productivity and service quality expectations and will analyze, assess and identify process
  • improvement opportunities, assist in implementing change, and coordinate activities to obtain expected results and
  • meet targeted performance metrics. In addition the candidate will have primary responsibility for oversight and
  • supervision of practice staff including recruiting, training, and management. The candidate will monitor compliance
  • to established regulations and guidelines.
  • PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT & SPECIAL PROJECTS The candidate will assist with coordination, planning,
  • implementation and follow-up of the top priorities for the division and will provide strategic support to the
  • leadership team to achieve divisional initiatives and special projects.
  • FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT The candidate will perform financial analysis and strategic planning under the
  • direction of the divisional administrator with the overall goal of optimizing divisional financial processes, operations
  • and resource allocation. The candidate will liaison with various institutional teams related to program planning and
  • financial management issues.
  • FACULTY AFFAIRS & SUPPORT The candidate will work with the Division Administrator to provide ongoing
  • administrative support focusing on transactions and processes for faculty including recruitment, appointment, and
  • promotions.
  • GRANT MANAGEMENT In this role, the candidate will work with the Division Administrator to provide pre- and
  • post-award management for division faculty for federal and non-federal grants and contracts. This candidate will
  • share responsibility for oversight of all components of the grants cycle, including pre-award budget development,
  • post-award monitoring, program subcontract management, and grant closeout procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify you must have a 3-5 years experience in comparable or related field and bachelors degree.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Exceptional organizational, planning, and time management skills.

Ability to take responsibility and function under minimal supervision.

Ability to accurately review and complete detail-oriented information and projects.

Ability to conceptualize and organize complex projects and planning processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,325.15 - $96,600.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
