Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Partner Technical Specialist, you will collaborate closely with partners to develop relationships, understand their needs, earn their trust and show them how IBM’s industry leading solutions will solve client’s problems whilst delivering value to their business.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Client Strategy Design: Creating client strategies for Data & AI infrastructure with and through partners.

Solution Definition: Defining IBM Data & AI solutions that enhance technology stacks.

Educational Support: Providing proof of concepts and simplifying complex topics to educate partners.

Credibility Building: Establishing credibility and trust to facilitate the closure of intricate Cloud tech deals.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Previous experience in a Technical Sales/Solution Consultant/Sales Engineer role

Experience working with the sales lifecycle and driving outcomes.

Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills at all levels of an organization.

Driven and initiative-taking with an entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to excellence in everything they do.

Ability to build and maintain positive business relationships with peers and partners.

Fluent English

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Experience with IBM Data Science and Governance solutions (DataStage, InfoSphere, Data Replication, Watson Knowledge Catalog, MDM, Cloud Pak for Data, etc.).

Experience with IBM Hybrid Data Management solutions (IBM DB2 Family, Cloudera, Netezza Performance Server, etc.).

Competitive product experience a plus (Microsoft, Snowflake, AWS, and Oracle)

Experience in SaaS / Cloud technologies
