Position Summary

Purpose

As a Management Trainee - Commercial, you will embark on a comprehensive training program designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to excel in a commercial career within the oil & gas service industry. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to various aspects of our business. The position is under Apprenticeship program.

Duties & Responsibilities

Functions

ESSENTIAL

  • Prepare and maintain commercial log, tender. pre-qualification documents, reports, analysis, and budgets, according to the needs and request of Business Unit’s Commercial management
  • Review basic contractual documents (PO's Work Orders, Service Orders) from a contractual and commercial perspective to ensure compliance with company policies and practices.
  • Learn and Support various aspects of the commercial function including :

Proposal development: participate in the development of compelling proposals for potential clients, showcasing our company's capabilities and value proposition.

Sales support: assist the sales team in customer relationship management, providing data analysis and market research support.

Contract management: assist in the preparation, negotiation, and execution of contracts with clients, ensuring adherence to commercial terms and regulatory requirements.

  • Contribute to the analysis and development of commercial strategies and initiatives.

NON-ESSENTIAL

  • Support senior colleagues in various commercial activities.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of commercial processes and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide timely updates on assigned tasks.
  • Undertake any other trainings/duties of a reasonable nature as required by Management.
  • Comply to organizational HR policies and procedures.

Safety

Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.

Other

Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.

Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.

Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position has NO direct supervisory responsibilities.

Reporting Relationship

Management Trainee – Commercial will be reporting directly to Sr. Manager/Manager Commercial CoE.

Qualifications

Qualifications

REQUIRED

Graduation / Post Graduation in Business Administration.

DESIRED

  • Familiarity with basics of finance, accounting
  • Proficient in Business Communications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Basic understanding of tendering and bidding process.

Working Conditions

This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows. 

  • Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night
  • Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place
  • Work surface is stable (flat)
