The department is responsible for the development of production test systems for Vestas. The test systems are often turn key deliveries with a high degree of tailoring and engineering included. Our projects vary of size and complexity - from 12 months and up to 2 years are normal time frames for our projects.

A central factor in meeting our project deadlines is the capability and effectiveness of our collaborative project management team. We continuously work with the project management structures and the governance around our projects, to ensure a high professional level of execution.

Responsibilities

  • Guide multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams and stakeholders
  • Taking ownership of- and organizing, planning, and coordinating technical projects with a high level of complexity
  • Organize, budget, plans, and deliver end-to-end projects, implementing an effective organization of your projects, including a strong governance
  • Have a good overview of delivery of work packages going on in the project and be prepared to communicate time, budget, and scope status, risks, and mitigation options
  • You build and maintain relations with a large range of stakeholders in the entire value chain, keeping your project team motivated and your stakeholders supportive

Qualifications

  • You hold an Engineering or Business degree combined with relevant project management education
  • You have some experience in the role as Project Manager, leading technically complex projects
  • You hold a project management certification such as Prince 2, PMI or equivalent 
  • You are an experienced user of project management tools such as MS-Project, SAP PPM and JIRA

Competencies

  • You take the initiative, are result-oriented and score high on accountability
  • You have a good commercial understanding and can naturally incorporate both external partners and suppliers and the full Vestas value chain into your daily work
  • You have a solid personality with impact, persistence, and the courage to speak up
  • Having a holistic view and technical knowledge, being able to build a bridge between stakeholders, Engineering staff and customers

Up to 40 travel days might be required per year
