SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Professional Services Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Professional Services Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our customers, working closely with them to deploy VAST Data cluster onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure and test data storage solutions in customer environments, ensuring they are fully operational and meet performance standards.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance to clients, including troubleshooting, upgrades, and optimization.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide input on product development and improvement.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices related to data storage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar technical role, with expertise in data storage technologies, such as SAN, NAS, DAS, and cloud storage.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing data storage solutions in complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of data protection, disaster recovery planning, and backup technologies.
• Familiarity with virtualization and containerization technologies, including VMware and Docker.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with customers and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Travel 75% of your time
