Position Overview:

Alkami’s mission is to empower financial institutions with a modern and cohesive platform that enhances user engagement, streamlines financial management, and accelerates the pace of financial innovation and access to capital. There continue to be technical and product barriers for many financial institutions to build the financial consumer-centric products that they imagine. 

Alkami is focused on developing an innovative, extensible and robust platform that enables financial institutions to provide their users with the best banking products and services. The Director, Technical Product Management, will drive the overall product strategy and vision of Alkami’s APIs, SDKs, and its messaging platform with the goal of creating a highly extensible, industry-leading, user-centric, data-driven, and innovative self-service platform which supports a strong marketplace. In addition, this role will manage a team of Product Managers and partner with the Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Client experience teams.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Collaborate with Alkami leadership and establish partnerships with product teams across the company (banking retail/commercial, authentication, authorization, fraud, SRE, platform engineering, etc) to understand the needs of both internal and external developers with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful product strategies that align with overall business objectives.
• Lead and inspire a team of product managers, collaborate with cross-functional partners, Business Development, and Marketing to perfect the consumer experience with the ability to foster collaboration across diverse teams and departments, ensuring a unified approach to product development.
• Work closely with the executive team to build a successful product strategy
• Drive the product strategy and definition for Alkami’s API and SDK frameworks, API features, messaging platform, developer platform, and partner ecosystem with a data-driven mindset. 
• Establish enterprise metrics and product analytics to drive a data-driven execution strategy.
• Build and grow our app marketplace, open-source projects, product integrations, horizontally and vertically. 
• Design and develop a playbook for strategic partnerships with key technology partners and work with business development and partner sales teams to grow these relationships.
• Discover and prioritize customer use cases and requirements to define the strategy for our API first strategy across the Alkami platform. 
• Discover and prioritize customer use cases and requirements to define the strategy for our real-time Messaging platform supporting Web and Mobile experiences.
• Work closely with our engineers, partners, sales teams and customers to continue to simplify our outstanding developer and customer experience.
• Collaborate with our sales, business development, marketing, and partner teams to ensure market-adoption and rapid growth as well as demonstrated innovation in driving product improvements and staying ahead of industry trends.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field and/or equivalent work experience
• 10+ years of experience in a Product Management role including managing teams of Product Managers
• Experience building and scaling Platforms for developers and partners.
• 5+ years of experience in developer platforms, app marketplaces, and API products
• 5+ years of experience in Messaging infrastructure with a strong focus on Mobile-first products
• 5+ years of people management experience building, leading and mentoring impactful teams.
• Experience with enterprise SaaS software with past experience at Enterprise SaaS companies like Salesforce/Twilio is a plus.
• Expertise in data-driven execution strategy including establishing metrics and driving product analytics (product engagement/adoption, app marketplaces)
• Solid sense of customer empathy to care deeply about top customer problems.
• Ability to easily communicate complicated concepts simply to multiple audiences to communicate for the platform. 
• Results-oriented, can-do demeanor with an intuitive understanding of product quality

Desired Skills:

• Master's degree in computer science or related field
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and experience implementing Agile practices in product development.
• A solid understanding of UX principles and the ability to collaborate with design teams to create user-friendly and visually appealing products.
• Strong understanding of data analytics with the ability to interpret metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Past experience working at high-scale and high-growth SaaS platforms
