Social Worker LICSW Part Time - (3274266)

Description

Social Workers at MVH provide strength based, culturally responsive, comprehensive psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention and safety planning, short term clinical support, and information and referral, to patients and their families seen in our Emergency Department, Outpatient Primary Care, Specialty Clinics, and during inpatient hospitalizations. All services all located on the grounds of MVH. Social Workers collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary medical teams in the provision of high-quality care and support to patients and their families. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Master’s degree in social work required.
• LCSW required
• LICSW in Massachusetts preferred
• Bilingual preferred

EXPERIENCE:

• Previous clinical social work experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Must understand community mental health services, psychiatric rehabilitation concepts and the Recovery Philosophy.
• Knowledge of mental illness, dual diagnosis, evidenced based treatment options, and homelessness.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention and ability to support staff in agency protocols to ensure safety for clients and staff.
• A successful track record working with, and sensitivity to, multi-cultural populations.
