Essential Functions

  • General Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement local store marketing strategies and supporting tools to drive foot traffic, increase sales, and enhance brand visibility for individual store locations.
  • Collaborate with operators and franchisees to tailor marketing plans and promotions to the specific needs and demographics of each market.
  • Partners with the marketing leadership and franchisees to develop marketing plans and programs for initiatives, campaigns, promotions, and product launches, to achieve desired objectives/targets, and to support the overall brand strategy.
  • Educate, guide and help execute a variety of marketing tactics, including grassroots initiatives, community events, sponsorships, and partnerships with local businesses and organizations.
  • Lead and manage marketing support as part of cross-functional team for New Store Opening process including Grand Opening Marketing planning and execution.
  • Provides input and supports the menu development strategy, testing, and logistics.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and optimize marketing efforts for maximum impact.
  • Researches and pursues non-traditional local media avenues that may benefit the brand and franchisee.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of local marketing campaigns, tracking key metrics and ROI to inform future strategies and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide training and support to store staff on local marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with brand standards and objectives.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for local marketing inquiries and support, liaising between corporate marketing teams, franchisees, and external vendors.
  • Monitors franchisees’ usage of trademarks and logos to ensure alignment with standards.
  • Sampling Program Management
  • Partner with franchisees to develop and execute strategic sampling plans based on overall brand initiatives and goals to drive brand awareness and traffic through in-field visits and virtual training support.
  • Identify and secure high-traffic locations and events for sampling activations, ensuring maximum exposure to the target audience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling sampling marketing materials and toolkits aligned with brand marketing objectives.
  • Establish partnerships with local vendors, venues, and community organizations to expand sampling opportunities and reach diverse consumer segments.
  • Track and analyze sampling performance metrics to assess effectiveness, optimize resources, and inform future sampling strategies.
  • Manage sampling budgets effectively, negotiating costs and allocating resources to maximize return on investment (ROI).
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to continuously refine sampling strategies and maintain competitive advantage.
  • Relationship Management
  • Builds effective working relationships with franchisees and vendors to translate franchisees’ needs into action.
  • Maintains consistent communication (e.g., phone, email, face-to-face, etc.) with franchisees to discuss specific marketing needs, to encourage franchisees’ engagement in marketing their business, and to maintain compliance with brand standards.
  • Establishes and maintains trust and credibility with franchisees, vendors, and marketing associates.

Job Summary

The Manager, Field Marketing plays a pivotal role in planning, developing, and executing marketing programs, with a strong emphasis on the development and execution of in-field sampling and local store marketing initiatives in collaboration with franchisees. This position is responsible for the development of local marketing plans aimed at enhancing brand awareness, driving targeted audiences to stores, and ultimately achieving profitability and sustained growth. Serving as the primary point of contact and support for franchisees across the system, the Manager, Field Marketing fosters strong partnerships to ensure alignment and successful execution of brand marketing strategies at the local level.

Skills & Abilities

  • Working knowledge of developing and executing marketing plans and grassroots programs across multiple platforms and in field.
  • Ability to analytically/statistically evaluate traditional and interactive media, marketing effectiveness, overall sales, and competitive trends
  • Ability to create program goals, messaging, communication, and overall event plans
  • Ability to communicate in clear concise language; to demonstrate active listening while engaging others; and to establish, implement, and clearly communicate strategies that align with business needs and objectives to gain buy-in from stakeholder

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel overnight approximately 60% annually
