VCA Lantern Road Animal Hospital, in Fishers, Indiana, is looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our leadership team as the Technician Supervisor.
The Role:
Being a Technician Supervisor means you are a believer in the possibilities of high-quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen. You will work alongside our Medical Director and Hospital Manager to provide mentorship, ensure the hospital runs efficiently and fosters a winning environment. You will have the opportunity to build your leadership skills and have a clear career path.
In the Veterinary Technician Supervisor Role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Directing work flow on the floor
- Cultivate an inclusive work environment and strong hospital culture
- Work cohesively with hospital management to aid in the progression of the hospital
- Help with the interview process for potential new hires and onboard all new associates
- Assist in the educational development of technicians and their skills
- Conduct staff meetings
- Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience
- Resolve conflicts in a professional and humble manner
- Refining and implementing protocols
- Ensure that VCA polices, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.
