Solartron Metrology Ltd is a world leader in the design and manufacture of highly accurate, precise and rugged digital and analogue linear measurement sensors and dimensional gauging probes, including LVDT displacement transducer and gauging probes, for industrial, aerospace and control applications. We are currently looking for a Application Engineer to join our Team.

As an Application Engineer, you will be supporting our Customer and Sales Channels (Pre and Post Sales). You will contribute to maximize Solartron Metrology brand visibility and high reputation. You will work on expanding services and Business Unit digitalization, contributing to Order and Sales growth YoY and maximizing Customers' satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

The Application Engineer will:

  • Provide technical support to our Sales Channels (Direct / Distributions / e-Commerce) including directive activities with Customers / End-Users
  • Support Sales / Marketing / Engineering initiatives in the Region in line with a regional business plan
  • Provide service and support development. Quarterly review with Direct leader and Service Manager in HQ
  • Support the Business Review Process, Business Unit Digitalization transformation and contribute to increase / maintain data accuracy

Application Engineer Position Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in Application Engineering roles
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge in the Sensors technologies and Software Domain
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Teamwork player
  • Strong problem solving methodology
  • Being able to work under pressure
  • Confidence and integrity
  • PLCs and programming (Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, CC-Link). Ability to troubleshoot connections into PLC
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English. Knowledge of Thai and Japanese is considered advantageous.
