This position is part of our Corporate line of business and is ideally a hybrid role, preferably located in Birmingham AL, Lancaster PA or Chantilly VA. The line of business this position provides HR resource support to is based in Chantilly.

Job Summary:

The Associate Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for meeting the management and team member relations needs of a small line of business with oversight from HR Management. They will also support learning and engagement programs as well as other organization-wide Human Resources policies and programs through project management, course instruction and program oversight. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • 20% - With oversight from management, serve as primary HR resource for the Medmarc line of business. Support decision making, strategic planning and succession management. Serve as a technical resource and provide HR expertise, coaching and counseling to all LOB members.
  • 20% - Support Learning and Engagement as well as hiring objectives by administering the Predictive Index program and training. Collaborate with HRBPs and managers to create job targets. Maintain PI information and analyze outcomes to ensure successful use of the program.
  • 15% - Utilize Job Architect tool to work with HRBPs and managers to build and maintain job descriptions that support organizational structure and salary administration strategies. Support HRBPs and Compensation team’s compensation analysis needs by providing thorough and accurate data regarding team members. Ensure all job descriptions are reviewed and updated on a consistent schedule.
  • 15% - Support Learning and Engagement Initiatives by providing training on a variety of topics including LTW Tier I courses. Work with DLE and HRBPs to continue to develop learning resources.Lead a New Manager Orientation program.
  • 10% - Support a variety of HR team projects including serving as project lead and coordinator, complete research, and implementation activities.
  • 10% - Maintain and research HRBP/Workforce related Workday business processes.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • 5% - Serve as a Workday system expert and provide data and reports to help HRBPs support the strategic priorities of the lines of business. With information from each functional area of the team, compile monthly HR updates for all lines of business.
  • 5% - Monitor Handbook updates and share changes with impacted HR team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field required and a minimum of 5 years of human resources experience, preferably in a generalist capacity.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years leadership or management experience is required.
  • Certification in an HR specialty area such as SHRM, Learning Design and/or Organizational Development preferred.
  • Diplomacy in dealing with highly confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization as well as with outside customers and vendors.
  • Business acumen and the ability to learn and understand the needs and challenges of leaders and team members.
  • The ability to listen, identify issues and make recommendations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain credibility with leaders and team members.
  • Knowledgeable in various software packages including Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Prior Workday experience is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail in composing communications and materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.

Position Salary Range

$63,409.00 - $104,635.00

The salary range displayed represents the entirety of the pay grade for this position. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have, your location and comparison to other team members already in this role.
