Your role at Baxter:

You will be responsible for achieving the sales targets and implementing sales strategies in order to attain sales volume, customer growth and customer satisfaction for the assigned medical products within Madrid and the central rgio. You will oversee the promotion of the current Clinical Nutrition portfolio and new products launched, following Baxter policies. We are seeking someone that delivers on sales and profit targets, and that is passionate on providing the highest level of service and selling interactions to our Public and Private Healthcare customers.

What are your responsibilities?

  • Presenting clinical, financial and value-based solutions to key decision makers within the Healthcare sector
  • Educate Healthcare professionals to ensure take up of Company Products to optimize patient outcomes
  • Ability to manage complex long sales cycles across the breadth of the decision-making unit
  • Tenacity to navigate the Capital Sales Process within the Public and Private Hospitals, creating opportunities for growth in an environment with limited resources
  • Develop, implement and review territory business plans that are aligned to a National strategy plus the ability to identify and act upon local opportunities
  • Developing collaborative relationships to grow existing business base by differentiating solutions clinically and financially versus the competition
  • Individual and group selling skills, as well effectively navigating a variety of customer types through the sales cycle
  • Ability to negotiate consistent and transparent pricing to secure long term profitable and sustainable sales/market presence
  • Sales data and market analyses to inform activity and ensure a focused and results driven return on time
  • Forecasting – identifying opportunities and pipeline into the forecast in order to inform manufacturing and supply forecast.
  • Drive the tender management process, including pre-tender focused activity and tender submission
  • Regular interaction with local and National team/peer group to continually drive a culture of collaboration, support and sharing best practice
  • Creative mindset to thrive in a constantly changing external environment, as well as adapting to evolving internal business priorities
  • The use of CRM system to support planning, sequential selling and territory analyses
  • Able to work effectively with wider team (sales, clinical, IT) to ensure delivery of implementation (project management).

We are presently seeking people who have:

  • Degree level qualification (Preferably Life Sciences or Business)
  • Knowledge of tenders/deal structuring
  • Ability to build business cases
  • Min. 5 years of experience in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical sales
  • Able to demonstrate relevant experience working in or around the Hospital Healthcare Sector
  • Strong sales background or able to demonstrate high level of knowledge aligned to relevant therapy area
  • Knowledge of hospital dynamics and decision path, capital funding mechanisms
  • Intermediate level of English communication skills
  • Resourceful IT user!
  • A flair for working with people
  • The ability to work in a fast paced, challenging environment
