Job Title: Camp Carleton Kids Camp and Teen Camp Directors

Department: Alumni Relations

FTE/Working Schedule: These positions begin on June 13 and end on June 16, 2024

Position Overview:

This position are the temporary members of the Alumni Relations staff, responsible for Camp Carleton Kids and Teen Camps during Reunion weekend. These staff members support the Reunion children’s and teen programming and provide supervision of children in the program. The primary role of these positions is to develop and lead activities and provide supervision. This position will work up to 36 hours over the long weekend.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities: 

  • Organize and lead a variety of activities.
  • Maintain a safe program.
  • Ensure a high level of program quality and work to establish a positive relationship with all program participants and their families.
  • Help create and implement creative activities.

Supervision Received and Exercised: 

  • The Camp Carleton Kids Camp Director reports to the Reunion and Alumni Programs Administrator.

Education/Experience/Skills: 

Required:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar setting and leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills
  • Candidates must have a genuine interest in working with children and providing a fun and safe environment.
  • High level of comfort with autonomy is required, as well as confidence in making independent decisions.
  • Physical Demands include must have the ability to lead and participate in indoor and outdoor activities which include but are not limited to, physical games and activities, bending, lifting walking, and standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lead, plan, organize, and implement program activities

Must have the ability to understand and follow written and oral work instructions, operations, safety procedures, and hazardous labels.
