Summary

We are currently recruiting recent college graduates to join our Growth and Development Team as a Service Coordinator. As a member of the Growth & Development Program, you will gain hands on experience within our Client Services Department, working in-tandem with service teams across sales channels to process and expedite client requests as well as assist with client reporting, meeting preparation and client interactions. This role will provide exposure to many areas of the firm through collaboration with internal partners on Client Service responsibilities, along with opportunities to work on cross-departmental projects and career development mentorship. This is an entry-level position that we expect you to be in for 12-24 months as a foundation to a career in the Financial Services Industry at Manning & Napier.

You will be based in Fairport, NY and will report to a Client Services Supervisor.

Responsibilities

Client Services – Service Coordinator

  • Facilitate system set up of new accounts and ensure proper account coding on various systems
  • Process client cash flow requests, investment objective changes, cancellations, and other client directives, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Provide instruction, if appropriate, to the correct custodian
  • If Exeter Trust Company is the custodian, log and process checks received in the Fairport office into the trust accounting system and Salesforce
  • Prepare and coordinate client reviews for meetings and mailings
  • Prepare client and third-party data and fulfillment requests
  • Serve as a backup for Service Team members as needed, working directly with clients, prospects and sales teams
  • Research and work to resolve client problems/issues as appropriate or assigned by the Service Team or Supervisor
  • Facilitate information exchange between internal and external partners in relation to account maintenances
  • Escalate problem issues to Service Team or Supervisor as appropriate
  • Assist with training new team members on practices and procedures
  • Participate as a backup in Service Coordinator team coverage
  • Serve as a resource with regards to firm initiatives and projects as assigned

Growth and Development

  • Meet regularly with mentor to develop individualized growth plan
  • Shadow all areas of the firm to gain comprehensive knowledge of the business
  • Partner with various Departments to complete projects and provide support as needed
  • Develop working knowledge of all products and services offered to clients
  • Complete internal product and investment training program
  • Initiate financial securities licenses and/or credentials

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Masters’ degree with an emphasis in Finance, Business, Economics, or similar program
  • Track record of strong academic achievement
  • Interest in the financial services industry with less than one year of full-time work experience
  • Comfort in dealing with numbers/mathematics
  • Required to work at least three days a week in the office

Compensation: Expected hourly rate $24.00-$26.00/hr
