Aspire is a growing nonprofit organization of the Massachusetts General Hospital. We offer a variety of high-quality therapeutic programs and services that focus on helping children with high cognitive autism spectrum disorders and related profiles develop increased self-awareness, social competency, and stress management skills.
Along with the Aspire Administrative Team, the Explorations Program Manager is responsible for coordinating the administrative, clinical, and programmatic aspects of the program and managing the day-to-day operations of the Explorations Summer Program. The Explorations Program Manager will be supported and overseen by the Executive Director of Aspire. The tasks of the role include: managing and supporting the development of Explorations program staff working with teens on the autism spectrum; implementing Aspire program curriculum; maintaining communication with families and accurate record keeping; developing and implementing the program schedule; the coordinating and implementing program policies and procedures. The Program Manager must have experience working with adolescents on the autism spectrum and prior supervision experience. The Explorations Program Manager must be willing to work closely as part of a group and collaboratively with others. The Explorations Program Manager works on-site at the program location in Newton and in the community during program outings.
This is a full-time seasonal paid position that includes 40 hours of mandatory and paid training prior to the start of the program, along with mid-summer parent conferences. Pre-program and ongoing training and supervision is provided by experienced clinical staff; the Explorations Program Manager is expected to help lead staff trainings. The Explorations Program Manager is part of the summer leadership staff for the teen and adult programs; attendance at pre-program planning meetings is expected.
