About the role:

Micron's Global Supplier Diversity team is looking for a Project/Program Manager to lead the coordination and execution of initiatives that support our global supplier diversity aims. As a member of this team, you will help to ensure that our sourcing standards enhance the sustainability of our operations while improving social conditions in our supply chain and communities. Responsibilities:

  • This is an individual contributor role with potential for supervisory responsibilities. Lead program/project portfolios for global supplier diversity initiatives.
  • Translate strategic objectives into project plans and program roadmaps to realize distinct and measurable benefits for the organization.
  • Drive projects and programs using an organized and results focused approach to achieve all goals within budget, timeline and scope constraints.
  • Regularly report out on the status of projects within the portfolio; manage risks, and implement solutions to ensure successful project implementation.
  • Coordinate projects and programs that involve collaboration with internal, global cross-functional groups, and external parties. Supervise team members, prioritize, assign, and monitor work.
  • Drive continuous improvement, with a focus on end-to-end systems, processes, and tools that enable execution of Micron’s goals.
  • Recommend ecosystem-relevant strategies to support the greatest possible access, visibility, and participation of diverse businesses in contracting opportunities.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on certification frameworks; end-to-end procurement processes, policies, tools and systems.
  • Establish relationships with non-profit organizations, community partners, and other relevant groups to advance objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to procurement category teams; provide sourcing support as needed.
  • Educate internal and external partners on policies, procedures, best-practices and requirements; serve as the main point of contact for related questions.
  • Work closely with procurement teams to understand sourcing plans, workflows, and objectives. Find opportunities to further program aims while supporting category objectives.
  • Formulate and maintain policies to reflect best-practices and stay up-to-date on emerging trends and standards. Conduct research and benchmarking to develop solutions and improve the efficiency of the overall program.
  • Model, analyze, measure and optimize business processes to support strategy.
  • Conduct benchmarking; standardize and transform existing processes set a best-in-class new standard.
  • Apply appropriate continuous improvement tools, methodologies, and technology to elevate process efficiency and drive transformation.
  • Cultivate trusted partnerships with stakeholders to build support and foster collaboration during change processes. Effectively manage conflicts as they arise in the program or project lifecycle.

  • Is an expert in change management.
  • Is well-versed in project and program management methodologies and frameworks.
  • Has experience working in corporate, global procurement.
  • Is an excellent communicator, able to convey complex concepts in a clear, concise, and accurate manner.
  • Leads through influence with cross-functional team members at all levels.
  • Is agile in adopting new tools and ways of working to improve business outcomes.
  • Effectively leads without authority and collaborates with an inclusive approach across geographical and organizational cultures.
  • Is self-motivated, driven, and comfortable working in a global, fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Management, Finance, Sustainability, Economics, Political Science, Public Policy, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field
  • At least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in supplier diversity and inclusion or related roles
  • Experience in global procurement, supplier management or related.
  • Experience in program and project management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft O365 (such as MS Office Excel Intermediate analytical skills using functions such as Macro, Vlookup, Hlookup, Pivot and Expose Formula's)

Preferred:

  • Experience in external facing roles, such as community engagement or community relations.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analytics and related tools.
  • Strong understanding of sustainable procurement strategies, and emerging topics and trends in ESG.
  • Semiconductor industry experience a plus.
  • Experience working with a large, global company.
  • Globally recognized certifications like CPSD, PMP, MOS, or PROSCI
  • Proficient in SharePoint, Tableau, Power BI, MS Project, Visio, or equivalent.
