Software Developer for Pan-European Application Development

Euronext Securities has a central function in the financial sector in Europe and as part of Euronext, we must think about our solutions from an international perspective. We do this together with our colleagues across Norway, France, Portugal, Italy and Denmark - and we need more skilled developers to help us.

You support the business with both development and operational tasks, and code solutions for a complex business area where we are challenged by supporting a constantly evolving market and new regulations. It is important that you want to be part of the Scrum-inspired working environment with collaboration and sharing of knowledge and ideas. You consider responsibility and ownership of the products you develop as a team as necessary. 

Our decentralised systems are primarily based on Java – this is what this position is about.

Our core systems run on the mainframe, our development environments are on the Windows platform and we code both in EGL, PL/I and Java.

Desired Profile

• You have solid programming experience with Java. We value skill and attitude higher than years of experience.
• Knowledge about scrum, React, OpenShift and TDD is an advantage, but not a must.
• You don't need to have insight into the financial sector – we will show you.
• You thrive in an environment where freedom and autonomy go hand in hand with responsibility.
• You have good analytical skills, just as you are quick to gain insight into new business areas.

The Position

The position is in one of our development departments and based in Porto. You will be part of one of two teams geographically distributed between Porto and Copenhagen. This department is responsible for the development and maintenance of several applications supporting our core systems. Currently we are developing a pan-European Java-application to support the business area called Issuance. We need a new colleague to help us build this.

We are looking for a Java-developer who knows what it means to take technical ownership and work in a team.
