This will require close and regular collaboration and communication with many internal stakeholders, such as the Regional Business Leader, First Line Sales Managers and their teams, Marketing, Finance and Customer Care. Marketing Director will report to and work closely with the Regional Business Director for DACH. This role will cover Germany, Austria and Switzerland and is a remote role. This means that your home/remote location will be the primary work location. However, you may be required to attend meetings at a Medtronic site.

A Day in the Life

  • Direct the development of company market requirements for specific product(s) or product line(s).
  • Lead and coordinate product planning, product launches, product management, market development and market research activities.
  • Interact directly with product managers to identify new marketing opportunities.
  • Work individually or with a team in recommending action, scheduling and planning projects, estimating cost and managing projects to completion.
  • Identify unmet customer requirements and new business opportunities and provide vision and focus to move products from idea to market place.
  • Facilitate and coordinate marketing activities with geographic areas to increase teamwork and build partnerships.
  • May also: coordinate trade show activities, website development, develop future e-commerce strategies, and track of marketing campaigns to evaluate results and provide recommendations for future marketing promotions.

Must Haves

  • Bachelor´s degree in Marketing or similar science required
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience
  • Fluent in German and English
  • High motivation, enthusiastic and constructive attitude, being able to implement and develop changes, lives change management
  • Used to work independently and proactively with a high level of management skills
  • Demonstrated strong strategic thinking skills
  • Strong team player and proven ability to collaborate in a cross-functional and cross-country environment
  • Willingness to travel 50%

Nice to Haves

  • Experience in Consumer Marketing/ Social Media
  • Experience in B2C
