What you'll do:

As a Regional Director, you will be part of the senior leadership team reporting to Otak’s Chief Executive Officer. You will assume responsibility for overall regional business performance, business planning and growth, client development, and leadership of our Oregon and Southwest Washington offices. To support your success, you will have a team of experienced business unit leaders and project managers reporting to you. You'll have direct influence on the company's overall performance by working closely with other senior leaders in administration, business development, marketing, finance, and human resources. Your collaboration with regional peers will involve setting goals, defining objectives, and ensuring the team's continuous development and smooth operation.

Specific expectations and responsibilities of the position include:

  • Develop and implement strategies for the growth of the business in Oregon, Southwest Washington, and adjoining markets.
  • Create and share your vision for growing and maintaining our client base and sustaining services to public agencies.
  • Collaborate with the regional business development and marketing leadership to establish strategic plans, client development strategy, lead specific project pursuit, and establish a competitive position.
  • Manage operations by providing direction to and supervision of senior business unit leader staff in survey, structures, and construction management.
  • Work closely with your team to solidify and grow client relationships.
  • Forecast business growth and sales.
  • Support strengthening the technical capabilities of staff in Oregon and Southwest Washington

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Advanced degree in engineering, planning, or similar fields preferred.
  • Previous experience in a senior leadership role, and minimum 15 years prior varied experience working with design and construction teams,
  • Professional Engineer registration in Oregon and Washington, or ability to obtain these registrations within 6 months of hire, is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership in a collaborative work environment.
  • Customer-oriented, entrepreneurial mindset with a deep understanding of what it takes to deliver high-quality work to maintain existing clients and inspire new clients to entrust us with project management and professional service needs.
  • Demonstrated experience in the management of personnel, budgets, project management, and quality delivery.

The salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience, qualifications, and work location as well as market and business considerations.

Salary Range: $190,000 - $230,000 per year
