Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Manager to join our Global Operations team. This role is pivotal in managing and developing our most asset: Talent. The team operates from our world-class offices in Bangalore, Sydney, Singapore, and Beijing, making a global impact through their dedication and enablement.

Central Operations, responsible for creating a scale for our global sales organization, deems our APAC team critical to our success. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving business growth, optimizing complex deal structures, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring smooth sales operations. They will effortlessly build relationships and communicate with senior leadership across all functions to maintain operational discipline.

Additionally, the candidate will lead strategic initiatives beyond their function, aligning with business priorities. The ideal candidate should have a robust background in the Quote/Order to Cash ecosystem, Organizational Leadership, Vendor Management, Continuous Improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. We are seeking a true coach and mentor — someone who inspires teams daily. This role presents an opportunity to establish and cultivate office culture in one of our most significant global offices.

As part of this role, you will build bridges across the global organization, contributing to a meaningful impact from APAC to the world.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of Deal Desk activities within the APAC region.
  • Directly manage a distributed team of Strategists, Sr. Strategists and Leads across our offices in APAC.
  • Collaborate and work with global Deal Desk leaders to deliver consistent and exceptional partnership to our sales organization.
  • Define and implement an operational strategy for the team and broader group.
  • Identify and help implement improvements in how we partner with the sales teams.
  • Define clear career paths and establish performance standards within the Deal Desk team to foster professional growth and ensure consistent performance.
  • Coach and mentor talent within your team, helping team up-level both hard and soft skills.
  • Review and define long term talent strategy for the Deal Desk team and business.
  • Engage with leadership on all cross-functional teams to ensure operational performance and activities are aligned to the strategic priorities of the business.
  • Advocate for the Deal Desk team and help build and improve the brand of the team.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of SaaS or B2B industry experience in Deal Desk / OTC / Sales Operations / Pricing / Consulting.
  • 3+ years of people management experience, demonstrating the ability to effectively lead and manage diverse teams across various geographical locations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Natural problem-solver: comfortable with data and ambiguity; able to both delve into the details and operational tactics and engage meaningfully on the big picture or overall strategy.
  • Proactive and passionate about results: independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, and delivering results in challenging situations.
  • Leadership: strong team leadership and project management skills and ability to mobilize teams towards a common goal
  • Initiative and ownership: ability to act with limited oversight on a day-to-day basis, balancing multiple priorities.
  • High-energy, team-first attitude: motivated to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment to help our growing business.
  • Effective communications: excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex thoughts and strategies into simple, actionable recommendations.
  • Executive presence: experience working closely with senior executives to solve challenging business problems; Ability to credibly and compellingly present and debate recommendations with senior leadership.
