The Structuring IRD & FX team within the Corporate Treasury Sales department belongs to the greater area Client Risk Management & Treasury within the competence line/division Client Solutions. As Financial Markets Specialists we are able and eager to provide first-class Hedging- (FX, Interest Rate & Commodity) and Asset Management solutions for the Treasury departments of the German Mittelstand and LargeCap clients. Knowing and understanding the clients' specific situations (including accounting & regulatory thrives) is key to advise Corporates in terms of effective and efficient Risk Management strategies. Derivatives are used to handle these kinds of Financial Market Risks. Structuring IRD & FX is a key role to deliver tailor-made instruments in the field of interest rates and FX-risk-management. This includes generating trade ideas, pricing products, creating term sheets and performing complex analysis, preparing marketing material & sales pitches, assessing individual solutions, and many more tasks to enable a successful Corporate Treasury business.

As a Trainee in the Structuring IRD & FX team, you can expect in particular:

• A motivated team in an agile international environment with focus on German Corporate clients 
• Real life challenges close to well-known Corporate clients, sales, trading and financial markets
• Tasks focusing on analyzing data, pricing as well as preparing solutions for sales and clients building-up deep derivatives knowhow 
• Learning opportunities around financial products and solutions for corporate and semi-institutional clients
• Supporting the Structuring IRD and FX team in transaction management, creating client presentations and documentation
• Daily usage of trading systems, Bloomberg and performing complex financial risk analysis and derivatives pricings
• Structuring is a very sales- & client oriented role, focusing on the quantitative effects (i.e. financial modelling)

What you'll need to succeed

You also match with the following requirements:

• Masters in Finance (quantitative), Mathematics / Informatics, Engineering or closely related studies with very good academic results (or at the final stage of your studies)
• An analytical, structured mindset, including programming affinity
• Ability to cope with complex tasks and simultaneously working out digestible solutions (appropriate to addressee)
• Focus on details and the ability to simplify and speed up processes and workflows
• Interest in financial markets, structured products, and the financial industry
• Ability to work within a demanding and dynamic team environment and a proactive and solution driven attitude
• Excellent MS Office skills / programming skills in VBA and data management in Microsoft Office/ Excel is a plus
• Knowledge and relevant experience with regards to derivative products (Structuring / Sales) is a plus
• Very good Business English and very good / native German language skills
