This role in summary

This position will be the primary training resource for the manufacturing group across multiple departments and shifts. They will train and support other trainers in the “Training Within Industry” (TWI) methodology. In addition, they will facilitate training for hourly employees in both training room and manufacturing environments. Use of PPE as required.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Oversight of training program and department adherence to training requirements.
  • Collaborates with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Continuous Improvement teams.
  • Periodically required to attend various seminars, conferences, or training classes such as Training Within Industry (TWI) and be able to use the training effectively in the execution of the duties and responsibilities of this position.
  • Develops, audits, and supports the team of TWI-certified trainers to promote adherence to TWI methodology and trainer effectiveness.
  • Conducts training for people with training responsibilities and production employees.
  • Oversees off-line training program and training room.
  • Training to include content pertaining to work instructions, job function, culture, safety, continuous improvement, and Oracle transactions.
  • Assists in the development of training materials.
  • Work with management to develop culture-shaping content and then train accordingly.
  • Participates in kaizen events and assists in training operators on changes to standard work.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must complete the TWI JI 40-hour “Train the Trainer” course.
  • Minimum 2 years of training or manufacturing experience.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Able to maintain a flexible schedule to train and support off-shifts as required.
  • Must have a basic computer competency level, Google Workspace preferred.
