Position Overview

Direct Marketing Program Director. In this position, you’ll be responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and implementation of projects to ensure business goals and objectives are accomplished within designated timeframes. Partnering with various vendor partners, AIG Warranty support teams, and providing strategic leadership to optimize the acquisition and retention of consumers for service contract coverage.

We are looking for a strategist with a deep understanding of list segmentation, lead nurturing and scoring, database insights, direct mail, email marketing and automation best practices, pricing optimization and who is highly analytical and driven to meet and exceed performance benchmarks. This critical role works closely with AIG leadership and clients, directing and managing third party vendors that support marketing and sales operations. This role will own and work closely with marketing and sales partners to build processes that optimize marketing investment to grow sales of extended service contracts. This includes management of our prospect and historical contract database while integrating modeling and data analytics with acquisition plans to drive maximum conversion. This role does not require the need to build programs directly into an automation system, but this person must possess exceptional people skills and can successfully work cross-functionally with the marketing partners, clients and AIG teams to create and optimize database performance.

How you will create an impact

  • Own the database marketing strategy, working closely with Marketing and Sales partners and other cross-functional teams to determine the best way to identify, reach, and convert our prospects and renewal of our contract owners.
  • Oversee file transfers and data sharing between partners to ensure no leads are sub-optimized.
  • Work closely with marketing managers to guide audience segmentation, optimize targeting, CTAs, and content for maximum lead conversion.
  • Optimize and manage overarching database engagement and nurture strategy as well as lead scoring methodology.
  • Drive development, launch and ongoing execution of all acquisition mail and email activities including mail and email strategy, content creation and oversight of production.
  • Direct and provide oversite in all SMS or phone related marketing efforts for compliance and ROI,
  • Oversee website design and execution for sales processing, including compliance with all legal requirements.
  • Oversee performance of inbound call centers sales program and partners to drive highest possible average sales per call and conversion, while maintaining high customer satisfaction with each engagement.
  • Support legal review of all content and call center agent scripting to comply with service contract marketing regulations/compliance needs.
  • Provide summary reporting on program performance and provide insights on highest converting audiences, products, campaigns, and verticals.
  • Track, measure and analyze marketing performance weekly.
  • Act as a Database Marketing subject matter expert- staying informed on the latest progression tactics, segmentation, strategies, email marketing best practices, industry standards and implement best practices to improve performance.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • At least 5+ years of database marketing and direct marketing program management experience
  • College degree required.
  • Warranty marketing experience
  • Experience with project management tools and structured methodologies
  • Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills for handling multiple and conflicting activities.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Commitment to being accountable for results.
