OVERVIEW

The Cyber & Intelligence Solutions (C&I) team’s primary objective is to make Mastercard the safest, simplest, and smartest way to pay by developing products and services to protect our network, reduce fraud, and offer our customers the right solutions to advance on digital security and enhance their consumers’ experience.

As part of this organization, C&I Identity Solutions leads the creation and delivery of innovative digital authentication solutions enabling cardholders to experience simple yet secure purchases however and wherever they chose to transact.

This role will support creating a new digital authentication environment in which merchants and issuers will share enhanced data through Mastercard’s Identity Check ecosystem. Identity Check will enable the entire industry to lower remote commerce fraud, and to eradicate the false decline problem that has plagued so many online merchants. Enhanced data will give both merchants and issuers even more insight into their consumers and their spending habits, which will allow them to make more informed risk decisions without disrupting the consumer and interrupting the checkout flow.

The right candidate will establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external stakeholders, take an active role in supporting product and project management activities in one of the fastest growing Safety and Security areas across the LAC region.

ROLE

Essential functions and responsibilities of the Senior Specialist, C&I include:

  • Support communications and coordinate internal/external messaging of authentication initiatives
  • Clearly articulate the C&I and Identity Solutions value proposition for our customers, including banks, merchants and digital partners, so it can be clearly understood and communicated by customer facing teams.
  • Support gating process for the products/solutions introduced in LAC according to Product Management Excellence (PME) process
  • Inform, educate, coordinate and follow-up on action items of LAC’s Digital Authentication community
  • Program manage Identity Check acceleration programs in key markets (PMO)
  • Lead/support other Product Management functions, including Sales enablement, developing product go-to-market strategies
  • Support the development and execution of sales strategies which maximize revenue and profit in C&I and Identity Solutions, covering but not limited to EMV 3DS 2.0, Identity Check, Risk-based Authentication, Identity Check Mobile, Digital Identity and Biometric Cards.
  • Partner with regional product teams, divisional management, and market development teams to execute product management and go-to-market initiatives for C&I and Identity Solutions within supported markets. Direct Account team effort to build C&I/IS Account plans

ALL ABOUT YOU

  • Proven experience in Marketing and/or Communications in B2B and B2B2C related to authentication, fraud prevention and/or digital payment solutions and platforms to financial institutions.
  • Account management experience - ability to understand customer and constituent needs, marketplace dynamics, industry trends and the competitive landscape. Ability to identify and capture opportunities for increasing MasterCard revenue and profitability, while maintaining customer focus.
  • Disciplined approach to Product Management Excellence (PME), sales pipeline development, management, tracking and reporting.
  • Strong team working skills - ability to work collaboratively and both independently and in a team environment.
  • Credit card and digital payment industry experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills; project delivery and project management experience working with regional market teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, Advanced degree or MBA a plus.
  • Position could have up to 25% travel.
  • English and Spanish required, Portuguese is a plus.

Desirable capabilities

  • Prior experience for a large bank, processor, vendor, or card brand in the electronic payments industry, with solid understanding of the card payments industry (players, operational model, drivers).
  • Action-oriented, results-driven and with a disciplined approach to deliver targets
