The Director, Digital Transformation at Schneider Downs is a new role that has created to advance the firm’s digital capabilities. We are seeking a dynamic and innovative leader responsible for the firm’s digital evolution, partnering with business leaders to solve challenges and advance how the firm embraces and implements digital solutions. For Schneider Downs to be successful in achieving its Vision 2030 goals, the Director, Digital Transformation will play a significant role in implementing the right digital solutions and leading significant change within the organization, in partnership with the firm’s Chief Information Officer, Chief Human Resources Office, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, etc. This role will be focused on client and employee facing technologies, with the goal of improving efficiencies and creating a best-in-class experience for our clients and employees with technology. The Director, Digital Transformation is expected to be a builder of a high functioning team and developer of people.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Execution of Digital Strategy:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive digital strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives
  • Identify and prioritize digital opportunities to enhance business performance, operational efficiencies and create a best-in-class experience for our clients and employees
  • Understand industry trends and emerging technologies, effectively communicating impacts with the leadership team and including these trends as part of the digital strategy
  • Implement digital methodologies (e.g., Agile, Human-centered design) to help the firm move faster in its implementation of digital solutions while simultaneously de-risking projects
  • Cultivate engaged innovation within growth segments of our business 

Technology Integration and Transformation:

  • Create an improved and integrated, best-in-class employee experience that enables people to do their jobs better in managing clients, projects and their work
  • Simplify operational capabilities and provide increased levels of visibility and clarity into operations
  • Create a means to differentiate how we serve clients in driving a digitally enabled client journey from prospect to long-term client
  • Partner with business leaders to leverage digital technologies to realize tangible improvements in efficiencies and financial results 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation and optimization of digital solutions
  • Lead digital transformation and change management initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, via the implementation of leading methodologies and implementation practices

Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of digital initiatives with overall business objectives
  • Build a high functioning team, providing leadership and mentorship
  • Effectively communicate digital strategies and progress to the executive team and shareholders

Extracting Value from Data:

  • Co-develop with business leaders a framework and capabilities for the business to use to make informed decisions utilizing data that is used across multiple domains (i.e., operations, finance, service delivery, sales, marketing, etc.)

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS), or related field is required; MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in leading change through technology
  • Proven experience as a digital leader at an organization in a service industry
  • Demonstrated success in implementing digital initiatives that drive business value
  • In-depth knowledge of digital technologies, trends and best practices
  • Certificates in Agile and/or Human-Centered Design are preferred
  • Ability to drive change in an organization, quickly and with agility
  • Proven success in building high functioning teams 
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities
