Overview

As a Coborn's Application Developer you will develop, maintain, and test data integration code that meets business requirements. You will be responsible for working with Business Analysts and clients to: interpret business requirements, develop and maintain code using a number of different software tools and ensure the development tasks are completed within the timeline provided and are fully tested with minimal defects, all while living out Coborn’s vision, mission and core values.

All functions to be performed according to the established standard and in compliance with all company policies and procedures while maintaining regular, prompt attendance and availability to work outside of standard business hours as needed:

  • Develop and maintain application codes for a variety of projects including the documentation, unit testing and promotion of approved code to a production environment.
  • Resolve technical issues through debugging, research and investigation.
  • Perform analysis of user requests to determine system feasibility and provide estimates in which to implement.
  • Update job knowledge by researching new technologies and software products, participating in education opportunities, reading professional publications and participating in professional organizations.
  • Partner with and lead contracted developers to ensure the quality of their work meets industry standards and end user requirements both effectively and efficiently.
  • Create high-quality technical documentation.
  • Perform design review sessions and code reviews with Business Analysts and/or end users.

Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and two to four years related experience.
  • Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) project management.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in ETL / ELT development.
  • Solid experience in SSIS integrations development
  • Solid experience on SQL Server Management Studio
  • Solid experience in development SQL against a Microsoft SQL database
  • Strong understanding of Relational Databases. Experience in SQL server preferred; experience with RDBMS accepted.
  • Experience working with data integrations within AS400 and DB2 would be a plus.
  • Experience building JCL and CICS within AS400 would be a plus
  • Experience building SSRS and PowerBI reports and dashboards would be a plus
