ABOUT THE ROLE

Operations Team Leads are responsible for leading all functions that keep a Peloton warehouse running safely and efficiently. They will assist the Operations Manager and Operations Supervisors in driving metrics and orchestrating the day-to-day operation of their location. To allow for flexibility, daily assignments can vary and may include some combination of inbound/outbound activities, inventory management, safe forklift handling, unboxing and assembling products before delivery, delivering products to Members, management of returns. Additionally, the Operations Team Lead will be responsible for onboarding and training new hires as well as supporting the ongoing development of the team. They will work to keep the team well informed of priorities and initiatives. They will also serve as Leader on Duty ensuring the day-to-day tasks and projects are completed by the team efficiently and safely.

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

  • Assist in planning, prioritizing and communicating shift directives to ensure safety, efficiency, accuracy and quality objectives are met
  • Attend, participate and support in running morning huddles
  • Act as a Leader on Duty for the facility including but not limited to:
  • Perform opening and closing duties
  • Ensuring that the dock is clear at the end of every shift
  • Support the Field teams as the first point of contact when they are on the road
  • Conduct safety related audits and ensure site is complying with policies
  • Hold team members accountable to the tasks required during the shift including all safety and operational items. Partner with Supervisor or Manager when needed
  • Make sure the work areas remain in 5s standards
  • Support team members with inventory discrepancies to expedite a rapid resolution
  • Oversee the morning load out process ensuring accuracy of product/merchandise being loaded safely and efficiently for Member delivery
  • Support inbound and outbound activities such as unloading/loading trailers, systematically locating products, LPN creation, and shipping documentation
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings with team members to review Key Performance Indicators
  • Review and analyze reporting daily and work with other management Team Members to implement solutions to close gaps
  • Training, coach and develop Team Members including presentation skills and delivery techniques
  • Serve as Peloton product expert and brand ambassador
  • Ensure current and accurate inventory for all products both systematically and physically

  • Lean Manufacturing experience (a plus)
  • Good problem solving skills, and the ability to troubleshoot problems and think on your feet
  • Previous leadership experience or experience in a dynamic work environment
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 145 pounds with assistance
  • Flexible schedule; ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary

Physical requirements: This is primarily an active position, involving long periods of standing and lifting items weighing 145 pounds or more with assistance. Ideal candidates must be able to perform physical activity for their full shift. Hours vary but typically begin between 6 a.m.-10 a.m. and end before 9 p.m..
