We are currently looking for a skilled & passionate hands-on Technical Project Manager (m/f/d) to become part of our Strategy Projects Tech Team at ABOUT YOU!

Our Strategy Projects Tech Team is responsible for steering strategy projects across our full system landscape and ensuring efficient and smooth cross-system solutions to handle our retail business (all our ABOUT YOU shops in the different countries in which we operate). With a great sense of business and deep knowledge of the AY System Landscape, we build solutions together with the commerce product development teams to enable our ambitious growth plans.

Achievements/Challenges: 

• Successful launch of Coupons
• Core Challenge: to design & integrate Coupon discount logic within our system landscape and design a good UX on all ABOUT YOU shops
• Successful launch of our Global ABOUT YOU shop
• Core Challenge: to enable one shop for sales in multiple countries
• Successful launch of new assortment category on ABOUT YOU
• Core Challenge: to cover the differing data structure requirements from new vs existing core assortment

What you will do

• Manage strategic projects affecting multiple systems within our system landscape, together with business stakeholders and their project teams
• Dig deep into our system landscape by querying databases to investigate issues or validate feature and solution options 
• Challenge business requirements to minimize technical complexity while maintaining business value
• Conduct functional API testing and test E2E data flow together with the product teams with a high motivation to get yourself involved wherever needed / possible
• Work closely together with our IT system / product teams with clear guidance regarding cross-system solutions and requirements towards the team
• Steer and resolve cross-team blockers during project lifecycle
• Lots of space for your own ideas and creations, flat hierarchies and very short decision making process

Who you are

Basic Qualifications:

• Completed studies in business informatics or a comparable course of study 
• 2-3 years of practical experience with project management 
• 1-2 years of practical experience with business analysis

Technical Qualifications:

• Experience of working directly with engineering teams
• First practical experience of working with databases such as MySQL
• First knowledge in (functional API and E2E) testing
• Analytical, data-driven, and efficiency-focused approach
• Likes to work hands-on with high attention to details
• Very good written and spoken English skills

Nice to have

• experienced with HTML
• experienced in designing process flows

Additional Information

• Working model:

Due to the upcoming tasks and responsibilities for this position, it is required to work onsite at our headquarters in Hamburg on a weekly basis. Therefore we’ve implemented a hybrid working model that allows us to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays and to work onsite from Tuesday to Thursday.
