The Job
Success in the job requires a mentality of constantly pursuing the highly skilled and highly coveted, passive engineering talent without over reliance on databases, external platforms, or job boards. Chef is an AI enabled robotics company, recruiting in this field is challenging and a strong network is needed.
As recruiting leader, the role has full responsibility for the process, start to finish, including: recruitment marketing (ex: LinkedIn, Twitter), outbound campaigns (ex: Teamable), working connections and tools to find and engage candidates that are not looking, applicant management (we use Lever) and with the hiring managers help writing great job descriptions, written challenges and evaluation questions for interviewers, creating winning offer letters and finally building and executing comprehensive onboarding. Search is a skill you have mastered on LinkedIn and other social and recruiting sites. You should have a strong network in robotics / AI / mechatronics in the bay area. You are a hunter, skilled at creatively sourcing and interesting highly coveted, passive engineering talent without relying on databases, external platforms, or job boards.You are the guardian and champion of candidate experience.
Our roles are diverse. You should be ready, and motivated to learn the product, engineering roles well enough to understand the characteristics of the candidate we are seeking. Recruiting requires the skills of a sales professional, you should know how to speak to a reluctant candidate to get them excited about the company and role. Recruiting begins with visibility; you know how to drive strategy and execution of our recruitment marketing and employer brand efforts.
