About the Role

Workday seeks a highly motivated Senior Manager of Marketing Automation with strategic, operational, and interpersonal skills to join the Marketing Operations organization. Reporting to the Director of Marketing Operations, the Senior Manager of Marketing Automation will lead a team of Campaign Optimization Managers responsible for providing support to NA and the Global Marketing team. Collaborating with multiple internal customers to lead, evolve, and improve the campaign execution processes, you will direct the team in the planning and implementation of projects that support the marketing function and dissemination of marketing automation standard processes throughout the department. In addition, you will manage flows and content in our current and future nurture program.

As a Senior Manager, Marketing Automation Campaign Execution, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, coaching, and growing the NA campaign execution team.
  • Working with cross-functional teams to coordinate improvements through all marketing channels and functions including Digital, Social, PMO, Events, and Field Marketing.
  • Developing project plans (i.e., detailed plans, milestones, and work structures) and assigning tasks to ensure that the project will be completed on-time and according to specifications.
  • Developing, monitoring, and reporting on key metrics (deliverability, opens, clicks, engagement, etc.).
  • Increasing effective engagement of the database including the development of core data fields needed for targeting, data source priority, and enrichment needs.
  • Collaborating with Sales Operations and IT teams to guide the end-to-end lead flow process and ensure integration between marketing automation and CRM systems.
  • Working with our Global Integrated Marketing Strategy team to develop marketing automation strategies to support lead and opportunity goals, including continually modifying and adjusting those strategies as necessary based on results.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting marketing automation and lead management issues to ensure optimal delivery and tracking of marketing programs.
  • Collaborating with Digital Marketing to identify, evaluate, and implement tools and technology that will enable campaign innovation and improve performance.
  • Implementing and optimizing campaign tracking to measure campaign effectiveness and ROI on new and existing marketing programs.
  • Guiding/assisting the team in the marketing database and segmentation strategy and ensure data quality.
  • Standardizing and optimizing marketing automation processes and QA procedures to ensure flawless delivery of campaigns.
  • Documenting processes and communicate improvements to increase Marketing’s ability to deliver marketing programs efficiently.
  • Holding the team accountable for RTO expectations. Monitor reports and ensure compliance.

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 5-7 years minimum of Marketing Automation experience
  • 3+ years experience leading a team including performance and career management of team members.
  • Proven Marketo and Salesforce experience with a solid background in supporting complex marketing automation implementations
  • Past hands-on experience scaling demand generation programs including nurture and other outbound programs
  • Experience operating in an integrated campaign environment that includes PPC, SEO, display, and social ad platforms
  • Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau etc.

  • Solid business sense balanced with technical aptitude
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Project management experience a plus
  • Service-oriented attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience leading a direct or virtual team a plus

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $177,000 USD - $265,400 USD

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $143,200 USD - $265,400 USD
