Senior Data Science & AI Specialist

You will be working as Senior Data Science & AI Specialist at global grade 12 and will be part of Electrification business Area for Smart Power division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Chapter Leader and will be responsible for collaborating with various departments to understand their data needs and developing solutions that align with strategic objectives.

Your responsibilities

• Developing and implementing machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems preferably leveraging existing base models or frameworks
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities where generative AI can be applied to drive innovation and create value
• Analyzing large datasets to identify trends, patterns and insights that drive business decisions
• Exploring and experimenting with emerging AI techniques and technologies to stay at the forefront of the field and driving continuous improvement
• Designing and implementing scalable and efficient AI pipelines for data collection, preprocessing, model training and deployment
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translating them into actionable data science solutions

Your background

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field
• Minimum 10+ years of overall experience including in AI research and development, with a focus on generative AI techniques such as GANs, VAEs, and autoregressive models
• Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and deep learning techniques
• Experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop)
• Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals, including deep learning, reinforcement learning, and probabilistic modeling
• Proficiency in developing and deploying AI models at scale including cloud services (MS Azure, GCP), exposure to “No Code – Low Code” environments, Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
