The Role:

The ASV team is looking for a Device Lab Manager to help and own the lab’s current capabilities and the strategic planning for its growth. The successful candidate will be obsessed with quality improvement, help to generate and collect data to increase operational efficiency. Responsibilities include maintaining all aspects of the ASV device labs, plan and support space and equipment resources, including hardware and software, update all lab infrastructure, equipment, and software configurations, maintains inventory and drives new processes, registration, safety and security. Ensure availability of test equipment and parts. Understanding customer use cases, strong device/system troubleshooting skills down to component and software levels. The candidate will work directly with development teams, test automation engineers, and QA/SupEng teams to help with troubleshooting, monitoring and maintenance of test setups and environment in order to iteratively improve our software development process

Key job responsibilities

Maintaining all aspects of labs, equipment resources, including hardware and software, update all lab infrastructure, equipment, and software configurations.

Ensure availability of test equipment and parts. Understanding customer use cases, strong device/system troubleshooting skills down to component and software levels.

Procuring, negotiating, organizing and maintaining stock of test equipment, third party devices, prototype devices for troubleshooting and debug. Identifying pros/cons of test equipment and evaluating new ones for potential procurement. Onboarding new vendors to the tool and overall vendor management for evaluation, demos. Device returns and required support for calibration.

Dealing with international vendors for device imports and Customs, working closely with device security team for tracking of devices and inventory, placing and tracking Purchase orders.

Collaborate with stakeholders, understand their requirements and implement solutions like enable automation and reduce the manual efforts for testing.

Actively participate in team meetings, project planning, prioritization discussions, solicit and process feedback for solutions proposed.

Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders, tend to over-communicate and over-document.

Documentation, data reporting and maintenance for operational efficiency.

Brainstorm ideas to come up with new tools to deliver efficiently

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years of experience in device procurement, inventory management
  • 1+ years of experience in lab maintenance
  • Sealing with ambiquity
  • Hands on experience working crossfunctionally and externally with multiple vendors

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Maintaining all aspects of labs, equipment resources, including hardware and software, update all lab infrastructure, equipment, and software configurations.
  • Troubleshooting issues
  • Documentation, data reporting and maintenance for operational efficiency.
